under the rolling river / i'm not the one / champagne eyes / follow me down / when the night comes / crow's foot / one time / when it all comes down / julia / above the fallen leaves / dreamed about a banjo / anything other

we're getting in a few practices and trying out the tunes live at gigs which is all really great and important. some are old songs, some are new songs. we're getting used to how they feel on.

this is also going to be more of a band effort than the debut which, in my opinion, is a good thing. i dig the first one but after a while it'd be nice to hear some other instruments in there. some bass and percussion.

anyway. looking forward to it. should be a nice one. shooting for a january release.

so this second gartband disc will be out the end of november. cd release show at fitger's brewhouse on friday november 27th. let's see...what can i say about this one...i think it's a strong set of tunes. swanson and i worked for a bit longer than i had anticipated but was probably the right thing to do. i got to the point where i was sick of working on it, worked a little more and THEN called it quits.

That's pretty much it for the arsenal of tunes for gartband for a while. next up is the banjos record that still needs to be mixed but it's all been recorded so that's good. the coyote cd the songs are written and we go up to mattson's place at the top of november but neither of those discs will be released till 2010.
