going to set up a few new topics here and i'll add info as it seems fit.

first up, Pow!, the new Two Many Banjos CD we're going to record next month. The tunes:

Absent / Everybody's Dog / Everything To Anyone / Pow! / In Their Lungs / Like I Should / Can't Find My Feet Below Me / Whoops / We Don't Have Much / Anxiety

We're gonna record it with Erik Koskenin and since there's no need for us to make any more quick records we're going to take a little time with production. I haven't worked with Koskenin before but from what i've heard he's got some great ideas. I'm really looking forward to putting this one together. Not too much bluegrass music on it, mostly, i don't know, experimental americana. Matt Mobley and I have been running most of the tunes every week at our Monday residency at Sir Bens so basic tracking should go pretty fast.

Anyway, that's about it. just looking forward to it.

Alrighty! Just back from recording the new TMB CD with Koskinen. It went great! we recorded 11 tunes in three hours. A new world record! no, but really, it went great. everyone kicked ass, me thinks. It went by in such a flash that, at this point, I don't really even have any recollection of what we did. I know we did two takes of everything and we were happy with the song before we moved on so I guess things went well. But, like I said, I really can't recall. It's like when you wake up still half asleep with some remembrance of a dream but nothing too specific. The information is there but it's going to take some time to compute exactly what we did. No rush to get anything done, I think we'll put it around my birthday in October. Every 6 months for me is a good amount of time to release new CD's; The Rolling Stones used to do it! The Beatles too, I think. Whatever, it doesn't matter. For the amount of money we spend to make it it's mildly incomparable to the joy that I (we) receive from it over time. "priceless" one might say. Anyway. Fun time. Good lil' band.
